Breakfast was our new favorite thing of going to 7-11. When I say that, here is an example:

Our first stop was Katsuoji Temple. This is known for the placement of objects called Daruma which are offerings. Pictures do not do any of these places justice.

There are 6 stations to visit where you stamp a new layer onto a card to complete a picture at the end.

After the temple, we walked around Kuromen Market which is an open air shopping area. Everywhere you look is another food place but we got stopped by the very first place because they had samples of wagu beef which is simply heaven. We also got a bowl of ramen. Towards the end of the day we walked to yet another market area called Dotonbori.

There is a gorgeous river walk there that we caught before and after sunset.

Not pictured is the 6 story department store called Don Quijote that is an assault to the senses in every way, good and bad. Complete chaos.
Dinner was at a tiny place that could only hold about 10 people called Oh! My Chicken. Quite possibly the best fried chicken I have ever had.
Step count for the day was a mere 16 thousand. I decided to have a Thai foot massage which was brutal but worth the agony. I got new feet.

The pictures are gorgeous! I’m loving traveling with you by way of your blog. Can’t wait to see and hear more! The before and after sunset pictures are beautiful. The koi are absolutely stunning too.
That all sounds sooo great. Thank you for sharing the photos. They are terrific.
We can’t be there but your pictures & travelogue (not sure if I’m using that correctly) are top notch and we appreciate them even if we can’t be there. They really transmit the feel of the place across the globe. 😊
